'Platinum' 70 Years of Dancing in St Andrews

This "Platinum" CD celebrates 70 years of dancing in St Andrews. Included on the album are dances written for the Branch Golden Jubilee, two dances devised by Branch members to mark Prince William's student days at St Andrews University and three new dances devised Lewis Derrick.

The original tunes for the Golden Jubilee dances were composed by Billy Anderson, Mrs C M Gordon and Sandy Donald and those for the Prince William dances by David Cunningham. For the three new dances, the original tunes were written by the late Ian Morrison for Irene Bennett, a Branch member who is a past Chairman of the Society.

David Cunningham Senior recorded the original Golden Jubilee Album, the music for which has been digitally remastered, and following in his father's footsteps, David Cunningham has recorded the music for the five additional dances.
